Fried Ripe Plantains

These "platanitos fritos" (fried ripe plantains) take me right back to my homeland ... a Cuban tradition!

3 ripe plantains

2 cups of oil


1Peel the bananas and cut them into elongated slices.

2Heat up the oil and fry the plantain pieces in small quantities.

3Cook over medium heat until they turn dark yellow.

4Remove from grease and place onto paper towels to soak excesses grease. Serve hot.
